I'm generally not a fan of bandwagon purchases (i.e. items that have been heavily reviewed), afterall, who wants to give someone a gift that 1,000's of other people own?!? I equally dislike being the 'beta-test' customer, however, in this case, I could not be more pleased!This is a very elegant watch -- without 'over-the-top' shimmer. The mother-of-pearl is textured, and displays various colors such as: pink, purple, green and blue (not all at once). The color hue depends wholly on the angle of light, and is NOT dependent on whether the light is natural or artificial. The diamonds accent the watch perfectly, and insures this article of jewelry can be worn casually or formally! The band is ridiculously easy to open / close, and further feels completely secure when the clasp is 'locked.'
